I became homeless after my wife passed away in 2020. My daughter and I lost our home because her disability income ended, and I couldn’t keep up with rent. Yes, I have a disability myself, which I prefer not to discuss.
I stayed in an old RV for a while—just trying to survive—then sold it when I couldn’t afford to keep it running. After that, my daughter and I lived in a tent until I found this program through a local referral. Now we have stable housing again, and it’s changed everything. I don’t want my name used, but I do want people to know how much this community has helped. It’s given us a chance to rebuild and start fresh.
